Animal Crossing Art
To match the randomness of dreams, I was given five random prompts for this work, which included bricks, bell tower, puffy, harvest, and town. Another classmate commented that it sounded like Animal Crossing, which was the perfect inspiration on how to combine all the themes. As the prompt and theme were whacky, I made a comedic sketch about a villager that made a bunch of money/bells from selling a great amount of fruit. This was the first time I used a rotate feature in a html script, which related to how spinning items relate to hypnosis or sleep. I am also very pleased with my quick artwork made from photopea. Also, the image of the villager is cropped from this image: https://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/animal-crossing-new-horizons/d/d8/1015acnh_152.jpg
✨ p5.js Works ✨
This was my first original work on p5.js!
The abstract and basic shapes to make the daisy are a reference to how nonsensical and abstract dreams are. The background and growing petals also create a hypnotic effect that I associate with dreams. The changing colors also symbolize how dreams can be uncomfortable or startling.
I hope to learn more from p5.js and experiment with what art I can make with it.
